Canadian jazz pianist Diana Krall, joined by her three-piece band is returning to Australia for a third tour.
Krall is a three-time Grammy award winning artist with a recording career spanning ten studio albums and sales of more than 15 million albums. Krall became a five-time platinum in Canada with 2004 album The Girl in the Other Room (with six tunes co-written with husband Elvis Costello) and landed herself #3 on the Billboard charts with 2009’s Quiet Nights.
Her most recent album, Glad Rag Doll is described as being an exhilerating and adventurous exploration of new sounds and instrumentation filled with mischief, humour and a renewed sense of tenderness and intimacy.
Diana Krall is notably one of the greatest contralto vocalists in music history, sharing the stage with musicians such as Paul McCartney, Ray Charles and Barbara Streisand and achieving success with her sultry vocals and piano playing.
Diana Krall will play the Arts Centre, Hamer Hall on Tuesday February 11th and Wednesday February 12th.
