Heart of St Kilda Concert
April 2013
The final line-up of artists to take part in the sixth annual Heart of St Kilda Concert, which will take place at The Palais Theatre on Tuesday, May 14 as a fundraiser for the seaside suburb’s Sacred Heart Mission, has just been announced.
The first acts to be announced included blues rock outfit Graveyard Train, singer Kate Ceberano, ventriloquist Darren Carr, comedians Rachel Berger and Russell Gilbert, young indie folk band Wishful and singer songwriter Lisa Miller, while Even, the long-running Melbourne power pop trio, will be making their third appearance at the annual fundraising event which will have Brain Nankervis, of SBS’s RocKwiz, as master of ceremonies.
Now added to the line-up are Dave Callan, Henry Wagons, Hannah Gadsby, Frank Woodley, Saskwatch, Billy Miller and Rebecca Barnard. This year’s concert aims to fund more than 30,000 of the breakfast and lunches served by Sacred Heart Mission to people experiencing homelessness or poverty every day of the year.
The Heart of St Kilda Concert is a great way to support Sacred Heart Mission whose work in the community provides the basic necessities of life such as food, clothing, emergency relief, accommodation and companionship while also creating pathways out of homelessness.
Don’t miss out on this huge night of entertainment and give a helping hand to this great cause.
