The Rolling Stones add more Australian dates
December 2013
Following the announcement they would be launching the newly refurbished Adelaide Oval in 2014, The Rolling Stones have fleshed out their Australasian tour plans with five more dates announced in Australia, and one in New Zealand.
The ‘14 On Fire’ tour will kick off in Perth on Wed Mar 19, before travelling to Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Hanging Rock, Brisbane and Auckland. All shows will be one-night-only events, with the time between shows required to transport their monolithic stage set-up.
The tour will be the first time the Stones have played in Australia since 2006, as part of their ‘A Bigger Bang’ world tour. For Adelaide and Perth, 2014 will mark the first Rolling Stones visit since 1995 – nearly 20 years ago.
Tickets for all shows (except Adelaide, which has already sold out) go on general sale Mon Dec 16 at 9am local time through rollingstones.com. Pres-ale tickets go on sale Mon Dec 9 through frontiertouring.com.
